Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 9, 2026JobGrid ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy while providing a high-performance job search dashboard and job tracking extension. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user data.
1. Data Collection and Usage
JobGrid collects only the minimum data needed to provide its core features:
- Account Information: When you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed password to authenticate your account.
- Saved Jobs: When you save or mark a job as applied, we store the job title, company name, job URL, platform, and status so you can access your saved jobs across sessions.
- Search Queries: Your job search terms and location preferences are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.
- Dashboard Settings: Your selected platforms and layout preferences are saved locally on your device.
- Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous, aggregated usage events (such as job views and searches) to improve the extension. No personally identifiable browsing history is collected.
2. Data Storage and Security
Your saved jobs and account data are stored on our secure backend. All communication between the extension and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS. Local preferences are stored in Chrome's built-in storage and never transmitted externally.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties. We do not use user data for advertising, creditworthiness assessment, or any purpose unrelated to the extension's core functionality.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete individual saved jobs at any time from the dashboard. Your local settings can be cleared by removing the extension. To request full account deletion, please contact us via the channels below.
